About Asian PGPR Society
The Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture is a globally recognized,
science-driven professional platform dedicated to advancing
Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), endophytes,
plant microbiomes, and biological solutions for sustainable agriculture.
Established and formally registered in both India and the United States in 2009,
the Society serves as an Asia-rooted yet globally connected organization,
acting as a bridge between cutting-edge plant–microbe science and
real-world agricultural applications.
Aims & Objectives
- Advance PGPR & Microbiome Science: Promote fundamental and applied research on PGPR, endophytes, and plant microbiomes for improving soil and plant health.
- Translate Science to Practice: Enable the development of practical, scalable, and farmer-centric biosolutions including BioAg inputs, biostimulants, and biopesticides.
- Capacity Building & Knowledge Exchange: Organize international conferences, workshops, trainings, and outreach programs for scientists, students, extension professionals, startups, and farmers.
- Foster Global & Regional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across academia, industry, policy, and farming communities at national and international levels.
- Support Sustainable & Climate-Smart Agriculture: Promote regenerative farming systems that reduce chemical dependency, enhance nutrient-use efficiency, and strengthen climate resilience.
Our Mission
The mission of the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture is to
champion a science-led, biology-driven transformation of agriculture by
translating plant–microbe research into impactful, farmer-first solutions.
Anchored in scientific integrity and societal responsibility, the Society
is committed to restoring soil biodiversity, improving agricultural
sustainability, mitigating climate risks, empowering small and marginal
farmers (Annadatas), and supporting national and global priorities such as
organic and natural farming, climate resilience, food security, and
Vision 2047.
